It’s difficult to remember how worried I was a few months ago that the Heath would be a desert this year. Instead, it’s a swamp. But a rather pretty one.
Right now the flowers are sodden but rampant, while the grass and trees seem more lush than ever. It also feels like the poor weather has kept people away, giving the hard-trampled soil a break.
