Constable Country

John Constable famously sketched the cloudscapes above Hampstead Heath but today it was quite surreal at times. A cold front with rain is approaching so there were weird cirrus skeins above the cumulus.

I live in a classic Victorian terraced north London house with no sky view, so being open to the heavens on the heath is part of the uplifting it does.

It was the first time this year that I’ve been hot enough after a run to want the cool of the pond water (15 degrees).
