Nine

As I run the soggy soil is now drying to a claggy, doughy, pie-crusty hardness where before there was swamp.

The ponds feel colder, relatively. This is partly because the air temperature is soaring ahead of the water. So when I jump in after the run it is a real contrast. And it’s also because I’m not wearing the scuba diving gloves anymore.

But I suspect that we shall be leaving single figures before the week is out.
