This spring, last spring
This is the best month in England, for colour, scent, freshness and fecundity. The most common plants like clover, buttercups and hawthorn make a mix of sight and smell rising out of the ground which is damp but warming.
The coots have started hatching at about the same time as last year and the pond temperatures of 15 degrees are also in line with 2013 if you look at this blog’s archive. But a warning from last year. Spring is reversible until you can truly declare it summer.
